Cheri Moorhouse joined United Way of Greater New Bedford in 2026 and brings with her a strong background in administrative support, business operations, and community engagement. She holds a Human Resources Management certification and has an educational foundation that includes business school and some college-level studies.
As Administrative Assistant, Cheri helps keep the organization running smoothly by managing daily office operations, supporting staff across departments, coordinating schedules and meetings, assisting with data entry and documentation, and serving as a friendly first point of contact for visitors and callers. Her attention to detail and commitment to helping others make her an invaluable part of the UWGNB team.
Before joining UWGNB, Cheri dedicated many years to volunteering with Child & Family Services, where she also served on their board. Her commitment to giving back continues today through her volunteer work with her son’s theatre group at Dartmouth High School -supporting fundraising efforts and assisting in the lobby during performances.
When asked what she enjoys most about her work at United Way, Cheri highlights the fulfillment that comes from seeing the positive impact the organization has on the community. She thrives in roles where she can support others and contribute to meaningful change.
Outside of work, Cheri leads an active and creative life. She loves exercising, spending time outdoors, reading, and enjoying time with her son. A fun fact about Cheri? She is a certified TSA Officer, trained at the Law Enforcement Agency in Georgia - an accomplishment that reflects her discipline, professionalism, and ability to manage sensitive situations with confidence.
