Addressing urgent needs today for a better tomorrow.

United Way of Greater New Bedford believes every community deserves to prosper. We work with our neighbors to build resilient communities that are more connected, supportive and ready to respond to any challenge.

Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention
All children deserve to grow up in a supportive, loving home. Research shows that parents and caregivers who have support—from family, friends, neighbors, and their communities—are more likely to provide safe and healthy homes for their children.

United Way of Greater New Bedford leads and supports various programs that aim to reduce child abuse and neglect, including our New Bedford Family Resource Center and New Bedford Community Connection Coalition.

Safe Living Environment
Through initiatives in crisis response and disaster preparedness, United Way of Greater New Bedford is strengthening the foundations of communities for a more sustainable and secure future.
