Financial Wellness Coordinator

Dora Lima serves as the Financial Wellness Coordinator at United Way of Greater New Bedford, where she has been empowering community members for the past two years. In her role, Dora works directly with individuals to help them build financial confidence, reduce stress around money, and take meaningful steps toward long-term stability. She is especially passionate about meeting people where they are, building trust, and celebrating the small wins that lead to lasting progress. She also enjoys witnessing the growth and impact of UWGNB’s broader programs and initiatives.

Dora holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business Management from Newbury College. She is a Certified Community Resource Specialist through Inform USA and a K.E.E.P. Financial Coach trained by Green Mountain United Way.

Her multilingual abilities - speaking Portuguese, Spanish, and Cape Verdean Creole - allow her to connect with and support a wide range of community members.

Born in Italy, Dora brings a global perspective to her work. Outside the office, she enjoys baking, traveling, doing makeup, taking spin classes, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
