Keisha Rodriguez-Garcia serves as a Family Advocate with United Way of Greater New Bedford’s PATCH DCF program with New Bedford Community Connections Coalition, where she has been making a positive impact since 2024. She brings a strong educational foundation to her work, holding an Associate’s Degree in Human Services, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work.

In her role, Keisha works closely with community partners to connect families with vital support services, community-based prevention programs, and intervention resources to ensure that all families understand the advocacy supports available to them. Additionally, she contributes to collecting and developing data tools that help identify service gaps and improve support networks for at-risk families.
Keisha is also committed to ongoing professional growth. She is trained in:

  • The Nurturing Program for Families in Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery
  • Be Strong Families Parent Café Team Training

These certifications strengthen her ability to support and empower families navigating challenging circumstances.

A Spanish speaker, Keisha connects with families in culturally responsive and meaningful ways. She values the supportive and collaborative environment at United Way, noting that the people she works with are what she enjoys most about her role.

Outside of work, Keisha enjoys quality time with her children and cherishes “girls’ time” as a way to unwind and stay connected with loved ones. A fun fact about her: her birthday and both of her children’s birthdays all fall within the same week - a busy but joyful celebration period each year!

Keisha is dedicated to uplifting families, building trust, and helping individuals find stability and hope through compassionate advocacy.
