Katherine Crawford serves as the Chief Finance & Human Resource Officer at United Way of Greater New Bedford, where she has been a dedicated member of the team for the past four years. With a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from UMass Dartmouth, Katherine brings a strong analytical foundation and a thoughtful, people-centered approach to both the financial and human resource operations of the organization.
In addition to her core leadership responsibilities, Katherine oversees United Way’s food insecurity work through direct oversight of the Hunger Commission. Her guidance helps ensure that reliable, efficient food distribution reaches local pantries and partners across the region. She doesn’t just supervise the program—she’s also known to get behind the wheel, proudly driving the Hunger Commission truck whenever needed.
Katherine is actively involved beyond her day to day role, serving on:
- United Way of Greater Plymouth County Board and Finance Committee
- United Way Worldwide Finance Council
- Sharing the Harvest Farm Committee
- Marion Institute’s Southcoast Food Policy Council
Driven by a deep commitment to community impact, Katherine finds the greatest reward in knowing her work helps improve the lives of others.
