Women United Initiatives

Since launching in 2018, Women United has collaborated with our Women United leaders, community organizations, business owners, and volunteers to support women and children in Greater New Bedford. Through unique initiatives like Wash & Read, Lantern, and Baby Bundles, we connect directly to families. Women United expanded its work to include Financial Wellness for Women. By investing in financial education, we are increasing financial stability and economic self-sufficiency through increased knowledge, skills and confidence around money management.

Women United Leaders

Women United leaders are United Way donors with a passion for supporting women!

Women United is a global initiative of United Way Worldwide operating in over 165 communities across the US and around the globe on issues affecting women, children, and families. United Way of Greater New Bedford founded our local Women United in 2018.

Hunger Heroes

On Saturday, November 22nd volunteers will gather to package 1,000 Thanksgiving meals for families in our community. Meals will be delivered to local food pantries and programs through our Hunger Commission and distributed to families they serve.
